Bio

Vanesa Tomasino is a SAG and ACTRA LatinX actress, born in El Salvador and with a Mexican Canadian family.

Her acting work includes: a co-star role on Netflix’s “Virgin River,” a role in the CBS show “So Help Me Todd,” a supporting lead role in the Syfy TV Movie “Chupacabra vs the Alamo” alongside Erik Estrada and Julia Benson; a recurring role in the animated series’Martha Speaks'(Carolina); a lead role in ‘A girl like me: The Gwen Araujo Story'(Directed by Agnieszka Holland); and the Hallmark TV movies ‘Mr. Miracle’ and ‘The most wonderful time of the year.’

Vanesa was also a radio and TV host in Vancouver,Canada.

Vanesa has a Master’s degree in Political Science and is a Political Science PhD candidate. She is the winner of a SSHRC scholarship to Honour Nelson Mandela for her studies on democracy and youth.

Vanesa is also the founder of the first professional acting for film and TV acting studio SAS El Salvador , and the first agency representing actors in El Salvador Sivar Actors. She is the director and founder of the Salvadoran short film festival Sivar en Cortos (SEC).
